ChatGPT app
Smoke Run in ChatGPT
Give ChatGPT a public website address and Smoke Run tears the site down as a synthetic customer: it follows the money path and reports where revenue is at risk.
How it works
- You give ChatGPT a public website address, such as example.com.
- The app loads the public pages as a visitor would: landing page, call to action, lead form, checkout reachability, confirmation and tracking.
- It returns a card in the conversation with a conservative monthly dollar figure, the revenue stack it detected (payments, CRM, email, booking, tracking) and up to 6 findings.
- A teardown usually finishes in under a minute.
How to read a result
Every finding carries a label. Confirmed means it was reproduced from outside. Likely means it was inferred from the public page. A finding only a connected check could prove is labeled as not verifiable from outside and carries no dollar figure. Dollar figures are a conservative monthly floor.
If a site cannot be scanned (an invalid address, a private address, a page that does not respond), the card says the teardown could not finish. It shows no findings and no dollar figure, and it does not say the site is fine.
What it never does
- It does not log in to any site or account.
- It does not submit a form or complete a charge.
- It does not store the result.
- It does not scan private addresses: localhost, internal networks and cloud metadata hosts are refused, including through redirects.
- It does not read private dashboards, CRM or payment accounts.
What is sent to Smoke Run
Only the website address you give ChatGPT. No account is needed. See the privacy page for how that is handled.
Limits
Teardowns are rate limited per network address and per ChatGPT conversation. If you hit a limit, wait a few minutes and run it again.
For developers
The app is an MCP server over Streamable HTTP at https://getsmokerun.com/api/chatgpt/mcp with two read-only tools, run_smoke_run and get_money_system. It runs the same free, no-key teardown as the public /api/teardown endpoint.
